Our multidisciplinary team ensures that everything involving our guests, whether activities, food, rooms and much more, is suitable for them and that the individuality of each one is respected. In addition, we always guarantee that everything is done with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Encouraging sociocultural

The sociocultural animator's job is to create activities that help our clients stay physically and mentally active. The work is daily and will allow for skills to be maintained, for them to feel part of a group and have a purpose, something very important at this age. The activities developed at Flor da Serra are varied, ranging from cooking to painting and drawing, but always with the well-being of the client in mind.

Operational Assistants

Our operational assistants have very close contact with our customers, as they are the ones who live with them on a daily basis and in a very direct way. Thus, it is the operational assistants who are responsible for direct support, whether in matters of hygiene, comfort, food or overnight monitoring.

The presence of nurses at Flor da Serra brings extra peace of mind to our clients and their families. Well, it is possible to maintain a close connection between the client and the health professionals, since the follow-up is daily and, when necessary, it is possible to act quickly and effectively. The nurses on our team work with our clients with extra sensitivity, listening carefully to their complaints, but I also understand that sometimes a few minutes of conversation is all it takes to see improvements.

Physiotherapist

The people say that “age brings everything”, but the truth is that it also takes away some mobility. Therefore, the physiotherapist at Flor da Serra works regularly with our clients so that existing physical abilities are maintained and, when possible, recover some that were lost. In addition, when there are specific plans for doctors, the client can follow them comfortably, accompanied by our physiotherapist and without having to leave the establishment.

Doctor

The role of the doctor who visits Flor da Serra on a regular basis is essential to monitor the health conditions of our customers, allowing an early diagnosis of possible illnesses and treatment before they develop dangerously. In addition, our doctor also acts in prevention, allowing to reduce the risk of high blood pressure and diabetes, for example.

Clinical psychologist

The role of our clinical psychologist is essential to guarantee the quality of life of our clients. The aging process is not peaceful, but with this specialized monitoring, our clients are given tools to understand and face it as another stage of life and not as a disease. This gives the client a sense of being supported and it is possible to work to, for example, prevent and treat the symptoms of depression.
